9 days left: what Question #3 costs and where to vote early

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3. Early voting has seven days left, and it ends at noon on Monday, November 2.

What it costs

Public Question #3 raises the Noblesville Schools operating rate from 37¢ to as much as 57¢ per $100 of assessed value, for eight years, through 2034. On a $350,000 home:

  • About $19.43 a month ($233 a year) more than today's rate, once the full 57¢ is reached.
  • $955 a year versus no referendum. That's the ballot's own estimate, required by Indiana law, at the full rate.
  • About $644 in 2027 versus no referendum, under the board's resolution capping 2027 at 38.5¢. The resolution then lets the rate rise 4¢ a year, which reaches 57¢ by 2032.

The $1.88 a month you may have heard is the district calculator's final-year increase divided by eight, not an average. The arithmetic.
